April 5, 2008 -- The Mohonk Photographers Society will host a presentation of my program on How to
Photograph Birds. The meeting is at the Mohonk Preserve Visitors

March 10, 2008 -- In conjunction with an art opening of paintings and
crafts by Sandra Golbert at the Belskie
Museum of Art and Science, I will present a slide program entitled Rainforest.
The museum is located at 280 High Street, Closter, NJ. The presentation is

open to the public.
March 7, 2008 -- The River
Vale Free Public will host a presentation of my program on Beautiful
Birds. The program is at the River Vale Free Public Library at 412
Rivervale Road, River Vale, NJ. The meeting is at 12:30 pm and is
open to the public.
March 8, 2008 -- I will have an exhibit and demonstration at the
Ridgewood Super Science Saturday program at the Ridgewood High School.
Twelve new prints will be on display showing not only birds, but also insects,
cats, and frogs. You will also see many school projects, lectures, and
other demonstrations. The program is open to the public from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
March 12, 2008 -- The slide show Beautiful Birds will be
presented at the Oakland Garden Club at 7:30 pm. The Club meets at the Senior
Citizens Center, 20 Lawlor Drive, Oakland, N.J.
January 16, 2008 -- The Randolph
Township Library will host a presentation of my program on Jungle of
the Maya. The program is at the Randolph Township Free Public

Academy, Society of Skeptics, will host a presentation of Jungle of the
Maya, with Jim Wright, Jerry Barrack, and myself. The meeting is at

April 10, 2007 -- The Ho-Ho-Kus Seniors will host a presentation of my program on
Jungle of the Maya. The meeting is at the Hermitage,

York City Sierra Club Photographic Committee will host a slide presentation

January 25, 2007 -- The Raritan
Photographic Society will host a presentation of my program on How to

January 19, 2007 -- I will offer a presentation/workshop on Essentials
of Color Management for members of the Ridgewood Camera Club. The
workshop will be at my studio in Ridgewood, NJ
January 5, 2007 -- The slide show Beautiful Birds will be
presented at the Demarest Garden Club at 1:30 pm. The Club meets at the United
Methodist Church, 109 Hardenburgh Ave, Demarest, N.J.
January 2 - Feb 14, 2007 -- The hair salon Mane
on Madison in Wyckoff, NJ, will be featuring about 15 of my bird prints
through the middle of February. This salon is a beautiful Victorian house,
and owner Paul Ferraro has set up the great wall space to show off art works and
my prints will be the inaugural exhibit.
January 2-31, 2007 -- The Ridgewood
NJ Library will host an exhibition of prints from the book Jungle of
the Maya, by Jim Wright, Jerry Barrack, and myself. About 35
prints are on display in the lobby and in the auditorium.
November, 20, 2006 -- A new set of prints will be on exhibit and
for sale at Wild Birds Unlimited in
Paramus, NJ.
November 10-12, 2006 -- I will be exhibiting and selling at the Easton
Waterfowl Festival. This is
the World's premier wildlife art and sportsman's expo -- the ultimate
weekend for the sophisticated sportsman and art lover. It features
world-class wildlife paintings, photographs, sculpture, and carvings in fifteen
venues located throughout historic Easton Maryland on the eastern side of
the Chesapeake Bay.
July - August, 2006 -- The West Orange
New Jersey Public Library will be running a program on "Creature
Features: Paws, Claws, Scales, & Tales." A collection of
photographs will be featured based on my work in Central America with Jerry
Barrack and Jim Wright. Also there will be a slide presentation on a date
to be announced. The Library is located at 46 Mount Pleasant Ave in West Orange.
May 15 to June 27, 2006 -- An exhibit of my "Beautiful
Birds" prints will be on display at the Franklin
Lakes New Jersey Public Library. On Tuesday, June 6 at 7:30pm, I
will present a slide show about "Beautiful Birds." The library
is located at 470 De Korte Drive in Franklin Lakes and is open to the public
Mon-Thur 10am-9pm; Fri 10am-6pm; Sat 10am-5pm.
May 5-7, 2006 -- My work will be on display and for sale at the Art
of Nature Festival at the Somerset County Environmental Education
Center. This is a juried show featuring about thirty artists from
the Northeast. In
addition to photography, it includes painting (oil, watercolor, and charcoal),
sculpture (wood and bronze), and etching. The Environmental Center is at 190
Lord Stirling Road, Basking Ridge, NJ -- just before the Raptor Center and the
Great Swamp NWR.
February 15, 2006 -- The program Beautiful Birds will be
presented at the monthly meeting of the Bergen Audubon Society. The
meeting is at 8:00 at the Flat Rock
Brook Nature Center in Englewood, New Jersey (443 Van Nostrand Ave).
It is open to the public.
January 6, 2006 -- The program Beautiful Birds will be
presented at the monthly meeting of the Women Gardeners of Ridgewood meeting at
the Ridgewood Library.
November 2005 -- Several of my images were on display at the
Macey Center in Socorro New Mexico. This was part of the Festival of
Cranes at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. I was awarded
a first and two second prizes in the annual photographic contest (professional
division).
November 4, 2005 -- The program How to Photograph Birds will be
presented at the Morris Photocolor Club. They meet 7:45 in the AT&T
building in Florham Park, NJ.
October 25, 2005 -- The program Nature Photography and the
Digital Darkroom will be
presented at the Somerset County Photography Club in Bridgewater, NJ. The
meeting is at 8:00pm in the Somerset County Library. Open to the public.
October 14-16, 2005 -- My work will be on display at the Southern
Wildlife Festival in Decatur, Alabama. This is one of the top
shows in the country, featuring thirty artists from throughout the US. In
addition to photography, it includes painting (oil, watercolor, and charcoal),
sculpture (wood and bronze), and etching.
June 7, 2005 -- The program How to Photograph Birds will be
presented at the Teaneck Camera Club. The meeting is at 8:00pm at the
Richard Rodda Recreation Center, Colonial Court between Queen Anne Road and
Palisade Avenue. The meeting is open to the public.
January 30 to February 28, 2005 -- Fairleigh Dickinson University will host
a month long exhibition of prints from the forthcoming book Jungle of the
Maya. This book, done with co-authors Jim Wright and Jerry
Barrack, will be published in 2006 by the University of Texas Press. It
tells the story of the natural and historic wonders of Latin America's Maya
forest -- the Selva Maya. This is one of the world's most magical yet least
appreciated places -- an enormous tropical forest that encompasses much of
Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico's Yucatan peninsula. It is home to thousands
of remarkable creatures, plants, and archaeological sites. On Sunday, January
30 at 2:00 we will narrate a slide presentation featuring many of the images
that will be in the book.

The exhibit and slide presentation are at the
Weiner Library, 980 River Road, Teaneck, NJ (just south of Route 4). The exhibit
hours are from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, and 12 to 5 on Saturday and
Sunday. There will be subsequent exhibits and presentations, each month,
by other photographers following completion of this show.
November 16, 2004 -- "Beautiful Birds" will be presented at the
Saddle River Garden Club. (by invitation)
November 4-29 2004 -- The Cottage Place Gallery will hold an exhibition of my work from
Nov 4 through 29; about 33 new photographs will be on display. The exhibit is
titled New Sights, and includes travels in 2004 to Bosque del Apache, NM; Little
St Simons Island, GA; and the Pacific Northwest. There is a public
reception on Nov 6 from 2 to 5 pm. This gallery is located at 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood,

October 17, 2004 -- The slide show The Celery Farm Natural Area,
with Jerry Barrack, will be
presented at the Meadowlands Environmental Center at 10:00 and 1130 am. This is
a featured presentation of the Meadowlands Fall Birding Festival. The

October 9-12, 2004 -- I will be exhibiting prints at the magnificent Matterhorn
Nursery October Fun Fest. I am one of twelve invited artists at this grand
event which includes arts, crafts, a farmers market, beautiful gardens, and fun
for the whole family. The nursery is at 227 Summit Park Rd, Spring Valley

October 1, 2004 -- The slide show Jungle of the Maya will be

October 1, 2004 -- The show Jungle of the Maya will be
presented at the Rockland Audubon
Society at 8:00 Friday evening. The presentation will include Jerry Barrack
and Jim Wright, with whom I have been working on this Maya photographic and book
project for the past three years. The meeting is held at the
Clarkstown Reform Church on Sickletown Rd (see web site for directions).
It is open to the public.
August 28, 2004 -- I will present a workshop on bird photography at Wild
Birds Unlimited, 189 Route 17 South, 10:30am. This will provide an
overview of what it takes to get a good bird photo in terms of equipment,
lighting, background, composition, and subject matter. There is no charge
for the session and it is open to the public, but reservations are required
(call 201-599-0099).

Little St. Simons Island --
off the Georgia coast. I will offer lectures, workshops, and hands-on
instruction on bird photography for guests of this beautiful island lodge.
Even if photography is not your main interest, this is a wonderful, quite place
to see all kinds of wildlife and relax of the beach. It is a small resort
(30 people) with many types of habitat.
April 22, 2004 -- "Jungle of the Maya" will be presented at the
North New Jersey Group meeting of the New Jersey Sierra Club -- Flat Rock Brook
Park, Englewood, NJ, 7:30pm. This presentation is with my colleagues Jim Wright
and Jerry Barrack. It is a 45 minute slide show featuring some of the best
photography from our work in Central America for the book on the Maya
Jungle. Flat Rock Brook Park is located at the end of van Nostrand Ave in
Englewood.
April 13, 2004 -- "Beautiful Birds" will be presented at the
Ridgewood First Presbyterian Women's Guild. (by invitation)

raptors, songbirds, shorebirds, and some other things. It shows the
variety and beauty of the creatures, and discusses some aspects of
photography. It is not technical on either birds or photography.
Its about the enjoyment of birds in all their various states. It may include a
few exotic species from my recent Central America work. It is at 2:00pm in
the Weiner Library on the FDU Metropolitan Campus at 980 River Road, Teaneck,

University will host a series entitled "Photography as Art and
Story." I will be featured as the opening artist in this series. An
exhibit of about 50 of my prints will be on display throughout February.

Two of my images are included in the final jury selection of the competition
by the New Jersey Photographers Forum. This show will be on exhibit at the
Watchung Arts Center in November, and then at the Children's Specialized
Hospital in Mountainside New Jersey through January 2003. There are many fine
photographs in this exhibit representing many styles.

About 30 of my images will be on exhibit at the Ridgewood Public Library at

Ringwood Manor Arts Association exhibits works in their annual open exhibition.
This exhibit is supported in part by the Passiac County Cultural Council and New
Jersey State Council on the Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for
the Arts. Two of my pieces are included in this show. My print
"Evening Return" was awarded second place in the photography
division.
August 14 - September 8, 2002
Ringwood Manor Arts Association exhibits works in their annual open
photography show. Three of my pieces are included in this show. My
print "Like Father, Like Son" was awarded first place in the
nature/wildlife division. Many
fine photographers are represented and it's well worth the trip to
Ringwood.

Sad news. The Magpie Studio is closing. For about the last two
years, this studio has carried about 15 of my prints on a rotating basis.
It has been a great place to see and purchase full size, framed prints. I
will be looking for another gallery.

Three pieces are included in a juried exhibit at 'The Stable' in Ridgewood
sponsored by the Ridgewood Arts Council. The exhibit is "Through the
Artist's Eyes" and includes works in many media. There is a reception
to meet the artists on Sunday, December 2 from 2:30 to 4:30.

The American Society of Media Photographers ASMP) exhibits accepted entries
in their Seventh Annual Fine Art Photography Competition. The exhibit is
at Westminster Hall, Bloomfield College (at Broad and Fremont Streets,
Bloomfield). Two of my new works are included in this show.
October 6 - 27, 2001
Ringwood Manor Arts Association exhibits works in their annual open
photography show. Three of my pieces are included in this show. Many
fine photographers are represented and it's well worth the trip to
Ringwood.

A completely new set of images is on display at The Magpie Studio, 216 E.
Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood, NJ (201-612-0807). The gallery is open 11 to 6
Tuesday through Saturday, and till 8 on Thursday. The display now
includes 17 images, new this year, from trips to Florida, Ohio, and New
Hampshire. The Magpie also features great jewelry and other
curiosities. I recommend a visit.

About fifteen prints in various sizes are on display (and for sale) at the
Magpie Studio at 216 E. Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood, NJ (11am to 6pm Tuesday thru
Saturday). This studio is in the same building as Williams Sonoma.

Twenty prints will be available at a benefit for the Ridgewood Symphony
Orchestra. Five other artists will also be present exhibiting painting,
jewelry, and knits. If interested, use the contact/feedback section and I
will provide details.
December 1 - 31
"Full Spectrum" -- this is the seventh annual juried exhibition and
sale sponsored by the Ridgewood Arts Council. It is at the Lester Stable,
259 North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ (9-4, Mon-Fri). There is a reception
to meet the artists on Sunday, December 3, 2:30 to 4:30pm. Two of my
photographs are in this show.
November 17-18
"Fine Arts & Crafts in Ridgewood" A showing and sale of fine crafts featuring
regional artists at the Cottage Place Gallery, 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood,
