Flight Series: "Sandwich Tern"

Fisherman's Pier, Sanibel, FL (February)

The small terns (this, the common, and the Forester's) are especially beautiful to watch as they hover and dive for fish.  The yellow-tipped bill helps distinguish this species from other black-capped terns.  Shot on Velvia film at ISO-50 with a 300mm lens at f4 and 1/1000sec.
